Understanding Home Automation

The recipient of a bachelor of arts degree in sales from Cardone University, Joshua Frank of Houston, Texas is the owner and chief executive officer at Deep East Texas S and V. A technology enthusiast, Joshua Frank is interested in home technologies such as home automation.

Also known as domotics, home automation is the remote control of electronic devices in a home. In most cases, these devices connect to the internet in a system called the Internet of Things (IoT). With such inter-connectivity, gadgets can automatically trigger themselves and each other so that one doesn’t have to control them manually. For instance, one can set the lights to switch off after they leave the house or switch on the air conditioning system just before they get to the house from work.

Among the benefits, home automation can save electricity bills and heating and cooling costs. By incorporating the Internet of Things into the framework, home automation can enhance security and safety by allowing integration with security systems such as surveillance cameras.

The Consumer Electronic Industry

The owner and CEO of Deep East Texas S & V, LLC, in Corrigan, northeast of Houston, Joshua Frank, is a seasoned salesman with over 12 years of experience researching and testing thousands of consumer electronics brands. Joshua Frank enjoys working out, hiking, homesteading, and studying new technology for consumers as leisure time activities.

The consumer electronics industry has been significantly impacted by technological advancements, with manufacturers developing innovations to change consumers' quality of life. However, certain variables, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, have resulted in new trends that will impact the sector's future.

The 5G network, announced in 2019, has begun to receive widespread adoption. It provides faster Internet speed, which can create a completely digitized world, with different industries such as healthcare and manufacturing already adopting it. Its ability to optimize manufacturing, distribution, and sales processes and improve the online buying experience transforms the consumer electronics industry.

The covid 19 pandemic also caused significant and widespread supply chain disruptions, as national lockdowns slowed or halted the movement of raw materials and finished products, disrupting manufacturing for many businesses. However, this has prompted most businesses in the United States to begin investing in artificial intelligence and robotic process automation to make their supply chains more resilient and collaborative.

The Evolution of Audio Devices

Joshua Frank is the CEO of Deep East Texas S & V LLC, which he led to record sales for 2020 and 2021. Houston-based executive Joshua Frank is an expert in home automation, home security, and home theater equipment on the market today.

Modern technology has made listening to music and other audio-based entertainment more accessible than ever before, but this was not always the case.

The first known music player and the sound recording machine in the early 1800s was created by French inventor Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville. It was known as the phonautograph, and though not essentially a music machine, it visually recorded the vibrations of various sounds and transcribed them for studying.

The phonautograph laid the foundation for the development of later technologies. In July 1877, the first music-playing device able to both record and playback music was created by Thomas Edison. With the help of machinist John Kruesi, it was called the phonograph. Edison's rendition of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" was the first sound recorded and replayed. This creation revolutionized the music industry as it laid the groundwork for generations of music devices.

Other inventors began improving Edison's design to create better ways to record sound. These included: the Graphophone (Alexander Graham Bell), Music Boxes (Louis Favre), and the Gramophone (Emile Berliner). Each had tremendous effects on the development of music-playing devices.

The 20th century saw a boom in innovative audio technology. In the 1920s, German Fritz Pfleumer created magnetic tapes that allowed greater quality and were portable.

Other devices such as vinyl discs (the 1940s), cassette tapes (1970s), Walkmans (1979), CDs (1982), regarded as the greatest innovation in media storage, and Mp3 players (1998) were also developed.

By the mid-2000s, smartphones had become advanced enough for music listening, leading to innovations in wireless listening thanks to Bluetooth technology and music streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.

Hisense 65H8G - Budget TV with High-Performance Characteristics

A rapidly growing consumer electronics and appliance firm, Hisense was established in Qingdao, China, in 1969. A top TV brand in China and South Africa, it comprises 54 overseas firms and 14 modern production facilities in Central America, South Africa, and Europe. In order to provide top-quality, affordable products, Hisense also has 12 research and development facilities around the world. Founded approximately 20 years ago, Hisense USA maintains its headquarters in Suwanee, Georgia. The company’s products include the 65H8G, a budget TV that offers a high level of performance previously found only in higher-priced sets. Priced at $800 when reviewed in mid-2020, the LCD TV uses quantum dot technology. When powered by a blue LED, quantum dots produce green and red light, which provides the backlighting for LCD TV. The result is a TV with a broader color range approaching that of ultra-high-definition TV. Assembled in Mexico, the 65H8G features a conventional design with a slim, hardly noticeable black frame edge. The model offers two sets of mounting positions to allow for a variety of setup preferences. Compatible with the HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG high dynamic range configuration, the 65H8G also supports HDR10+ through an HDMI input, although not from its incorporated Amazon Prime Video app. The product uses a built-in Hi-View Engine processor as necessary when presenting an HRR10 video supply to enhance tone mapping for its maximum brightness capacity. The 65H8G has a selectable Dolby Atmos component, but this did not seem to produce the trademark Atmos characteristic of overhead sound. The TV’s speakers tend toward deep bass, but the overall sound quality is satisfactory and performs best when the Atmos feature is not used. The set’s four HMDI 2.0 inputs accept and display sources in either SDR or HDR up to 4K 60Hz. The Android-enabled Smart TV components include several preloaded wireless stream apps, such as Netflix, Vudu, Amazon, and YouTube. An apps menu provides a broad list of other options, including Hulu and Disney+. Depending on the content source, streaming picture quality varies from acceptable to excellent. The Android Smart TV features also include the playback of your photos, videos, and music. The 65H8G has no special gaming features per se, but it does provide a mode for game picture. Picture control features include white balance modifications, multi-position gamma control, and a color tuner. There are three options for Dolby Vision: Dolby Vision Custom, Dolby Vision Dark, and Dolby Vision Bright. The 65H8G comes with a basic quick setup guide, but no user manual, which can be found on the company website, although some of the instructions are lacking. There is no backlight in the product’s remote control, which can be inconvenient when used in the dark. Moreover, like many LCD TVs, the 65H8G suffers noticeably from off-center screen consistency. Viewed over 20 degrees on either side from the center causes contrast and color fading. However, from the ideal center seating position, the picture quality is outstanding. The colors and details are rich and clear, respectively. While there are drawbacks, they are not deal-breakers and far outweighed by the product’s outstanding qualities that come at an affordable price. Overall, buying a 65H8G will satisfy those looking for the quality of a higher-priced set.
